Sandra J. ""JoAnn"" Donica Mace, 78, Seymour, passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at Schneck Medical Center.
Born May 26, 1935, in Seymour, she was the daughter of John Evertt and Anna Elizabeth (Porter) Greenwell.
Mrs. Mace was widowed.
JoAnn was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Seymour, where she was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She had been employed as a cook. She loved her friends, but her treasure was her family and her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Martha (Tim) Reinbold and Ray (Sue) Donica; stepdaughter, Karen (Curt) Petro; grandchildren, Bradlee Reinbold and Luke Reinbold; stepgrandchildren, Kevin Huddleston, Alicia Hughes and Jessica Petro; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Rita Nowling and Shirley (Stanley) Garvey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ray E. Donica Jr. and Robert Lee Mace; infant brother, Buddy Greenwell; and sisters, Emma Louise Weller and Margaret Baker.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Seymour, with Father Dan Staublin officiating and Deacon Mike East assisting. Burial will take place at Moravian Cemetery in Hope.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel, Seymour, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at the church. A rosary service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
