Funeral services were conducted Wednesday in the Logan 10th Ward LDS Chapel by Bishop George Jaggi for Margaritha Schlunegger Gerber, 80, who died Sunday in the hospital at Soda Springs of complications of a fall sustained about three months ago. Graveside services and burial were in the family plot in the Montpelier cemetery.
Mrs. Gerber was born April 20, 1891 in Wengen, Bern, Switzerland, the daughter of Conrad and Anna Graf Schlunegger. She came to this country in 1912 and resided in Montpelier from then until 1953, when the Gerbers moved to Logan.
On Nov. 6, 1914 she married Christian Gerber in the Logan
temple. She was active in the LDS Church, a Relief Society block teacher and temple worker for 20 years, and had been genealogy secretary two years.
She is survived by her husband; sons and daughters, Joseph Gerber and David John Gerber, both of Montpelier; Mrs. Ivan (Freida)Baird of Ogden, Mrs. Irene Swa of Denver, Mrs. D. E. (Nelda), Demain of Ogden, Mrs. Max (Edna) Gibson of Grace, Mrs. J. Vivian (Julie) Nye of Montpelier, Mrs, LeRoy (Gladys) Derricott of North Ogden, Mrs. Ira (Clara) Perkins
of Cokeville, Mrs. Mike (Ruth) Bates of Denver, Mrs. Leo (Berniece) Wilson of Escalante, Utah, Mrs. Dennis (Lillian) Eschler, of Logan; 35 grandchildren; 28 greatgrandchildren;
brother and sisters, Herman Schlunegger, Zurich, Switzerland; Susanna Jaussi and Elisa Lewis, both of Paris. Viewing was at the Nelson Memorial Funeral Chapel in Logan.
She is preceded in death by one child; (baby), her father Conrad Sr. Schlunegger died in Switzerland; her mother Anna (Graf) Schlunegger; and one brother Conrad Schlunegger Jr. who died in a logging accident and is buried by his mother.

Funeral services for Margaret Schlunegger Gerber were held on July 14 in the Logan 10th LDS Ward chapel with Bishop George Jaggi conducting.
Family prayer was offered by David Gerber and organ prelude
and postlude played by Norma Schiflman. Royce Derricott gave
the invocation; vocal duet, "Softly
and Tenderly Jesus Is Calling," Ruth Stoker and Annetta Mower; tribute, Russell Shepherd; speaker, J. Harold Howell; vocal duet, "That Wonderful Mother of Mine,"
John and Carol Jean Gerber; speaker, Bishop George G. Nelson; vocal duet, "Beyond the Sunset," John and Carol Jean Gerber; remarks, Bishop Jaggi; vocal number, "Going Home," Frank Hassy; benediction, Dennis Eschler.
The concluding services were at the Montpelier cemetery conducted by Bishop Howard Tolley. The prayer was given by LeRoy Derricott, speaker, John Teuscher; dedication
of grave, Richard Gerber.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Lynn Gerber, Ted Shepherd, Kerry Gibson, Eric Esterholdt, Mervin Esch ler, and Gerald Perkins.

Springs, Saturday to visit Mrs. Chris Gerber at the Caribou County Nursing Home. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Derricott of Ogden and Chris Gerber of Logan visited the D. M. Gerbers and Mrs. Nye on Sunday and with Mrs. Gerber in Soda
Springs.
