Eugene Haskel Nichols, 79, of Russellville died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at Dardanelle. He was a son of the late John and Bessie Collins Nichols, retired Ladish Steel Company employee, member of the Church of Christ in Dardanelle, and preceded in death by two sisters, Francis Reed and Hazel Wasmer; one brother, Eddie Ray Nichols; and two half-brothers, Lewis Nichols and Frank Nichols. Survivors include his wife, Katherine (Aaron) Nichols; three daughters, Diane Baker and husband, David, of Russellville, and Karen Hubbs and Sandra Yarington, both of Dover; one son, Ernie Nichols and wife, Linda, of Lamar; one sister, Betty Spitzer of Russellville; two brothers, Johnnie Nichols of Clarksville and Harley Nichols of Lamar; 11 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery at Hunt. Pallbearers will be Allen Nichols, Jimmy Nichols, Adam Nichols, Stevie Nichols, Johnny Webster, and Stan Nichols. Johnson County Graphic Online
