W. M. Milford, Lanett Citizen, Is Laid to Rest
After an illness of six weeks death claimed W. M. Milford Friday, September 14th, at his home with his daughter, Mrs. I. D. Jones, in Lanett.

Mr. Milford had passed the allotted three score years and ten by five years. He was born and reared in Chambers county and moved to Lanett about 37 years ago. Fifty-five years ago he married Miss Mary Alice Crook and to this union were born three children. His wife preceded him in death about ten years.

Funeral services were held Saturday at First Baptist Church, of which the deceased was a member. The pastor, Rev. S. L. Health, assisted by Rev. Charlie Will MIlford, a distant relative, officiated at these last rites. Interment took place at the Lanett cemetery, the following men acting as pallbearers: Jim UpChurch, John Strickland, Walter Mitchell, M. A. Jackson, C. A. Tatum and Cofield Shaver.

Mr. Milford is survived by his three children, Mrs. Clara Slaughter, Mrs. I. D. Jones and L. A. Milford, of LaFayette; one sister, Mrs. Jim Sharpe, of White Plains, and eleven grandchildren. - Chattanhoochee Valley Times
