PFC. U.S. Army, {RA26331549}, Vietnam War-Pfc. Pendola was killed in action by small arms fire during Operation Long Reach on 11-6-1965 while serving with Co. C of the 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division in the Ia Drang Valley of South Vietnam. He was 17 years old. Pfc. Pendola started his tour in Vietnam on August 18, 1965.

He is the son of Mrs. Lorene Pendola of Peoria, Illinois, and the husband of Mrs. Catherine {Moore} Pendola of Peoria, and the father of one beautiful daughter, Miss Tammy Lynn of Peoria, Illinois.

Awards. Purple Heart Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Jump Wings, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Military Medal of Merit, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm.
