Lorene Freida was the daughter of David Albert and Clara Ellen Aupperle.

Her first husband was Wilbur A. Richart, son of Charles and Mamie Richart of Peoria, IL. They would have a son, Charles Wilbur "Bud" Jr. before they divorced and married other people. Wilbur would marry Gertrude C. (unknown maiden name) and Lorene married Joseph Charles Pendola on June 16, 1940 in Peoria, IL.

In the 1940 US Census, they are both listed as 'lodgers' in the Fulton Hotel in Peoria. Joseph C. as single man and Lorene Richart as divorced; they would marry soon after that entry.

Joseph and Lorene had two sons, Joseph Michael "Mike" and Anthony Eugene; and two daughters; Tina and Marilyn Lorene. Marilyn L. would die soon after her 18th birthday. Tina would survive all of her siblings by 2012.

Anthony E. fought and died serving with the Army in Vietnam. He would leave a wife and child. He earned many awards for his bravery and service.

Joseph Michael "Mike" would live a full life with a loving family. They moved around and settled in North Carolina before his passing in 2012.
