Funeral: 10 a.m. today at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Spring.

Graveside service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville.

Mr. Atherton was born July 6, 1922, in Fort Worth.

He was an avid bass fisherman and outdoorsman and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Survivors: Wife, Dorothy Faye Atherton of Spring; daughter, and husband of Spring; son, of San Patricio, NM.; sister, three brothers, and three grandchildren.
