Cletus Bernard Bode, 95, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005, after a brief stay at St. Joseph Home for the Aged.

He was born on Feb 16, 1910, in Folk, the son of Stephan and Johanna Koetting Bode. He was married on Sept. 2, 1935, in Wardsville to Margaret Ann Roling who survives at the home.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Bode was employed for 20 years with the Missouri State Highway Department where he retired in 1978, as Supervisor of Records. He also worked at Tweedie Footwear for 27 years.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; Holy Name Society; Legion of Mary; Immaculate Conception Prayer Line; and an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Edwin Bode; and two sisters, Catherine Graessle and Dorothy Smith.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick G. Dolan officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
