Minnie Ethel Dearing Morris, 83, of Elkton, died Friday, April 28, 1984 at Camelot Hall Nursing Home in Harrisonburg, where she had lived for the past several years. She had been ill for seven years.

She was born in Rockingham County, October 18, 1909, and was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Martha Victoria Baker Dearing.

She was the widow of Theodore R. Morris and surviving are a brother, James Terry Dearing of Taneytown, MD; and a foster daughter, Martha Heatwole of Mount Crawford.

The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. Sunday at the Brill Funeral Home. Friends may also call at the home of Geneva Baugher, 111 Virginia Avenue, Elkton.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Furnace United Methodist Church, by the Rev. James Harris. Burial will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in McGaheysville.

Pallbearers will be: Reese Dean, Clarence Breeden, Herschel Meadows, Wilmer Seal, Floyd Hammer and Smith Seal.
