William Thomas Dearing, 92, of Elkton died Monday morning, April 12, 1965, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for six weeks.

He was born August 21, 1872, near Elkton, and was the son of the late Jackson and Sarah Smith Dearing.

He was a member of the Furnace Methodist Church and was married to the late Victoria Baker Dearing.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lillian Lewis of Vienna, Mrs. Minnie Morris and Miss Agnes Dearing, both of Elkton; two sons, Eugene F. Dearing of Winchester, and James T. Dearing of Sykesville, MD; one brother, Clinton E. Dearing of Elkton; 33 grandchildren; 83 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 2pm Wednesday at the Furnace Methodist Church by the Rev. John I. Collins. Burial will be in Elk Run Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Lewis, Eugene and Terry Dearing, Martin and Richard Lewis, and Lewis Slye.

The family will receive friends at the Brill Funeral Home between 7pm and 9pm today.

Relatives will meet at the Dearing home prior to the service.
