DEATH COMES TO KENNETH COOPER
Former Mitchell Man's body Being Brought to Bedford for Burial Monday Afternoon
Bedford relatives of Kenneth Cooper, about 33 years old, former Mitchell resident, have been informed of his death Thursday evening at Niagra Falls, New York, where for hte past six or seven years he has been employed by a chemical company.
His passing is said to have followed a surgical operation which her underwent at a Niagara hospital November 24 for an embedded appendix, peritonitis having developed to cause death.
The body, accompanied by the widow and two small sons, Robert, 12, and Paul, 10, is being returned to Bedford and is expected to arrive on Monon train No. 5 at 4:13 p.m. Saturday. The funeral party will be met by represnetatives of the Day and Carter funeral home who wil take the body to the home of J. N. Bennett, father of Mrs. Cooper, at 1026 T street, where it will lie in state until the funeral, arranged for 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. W. James Niven pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in the Green Hill cemetery.
He was born in Mitchell to Mr. and Mrs. Ira Cooper and was united in marriage about thirteen years ago with Miss Walterine Bennett of Bedford. He was a graduate of the Louisville, Ky, Baptist Theological Seminary and during his residence in Niagara had been actively engaged in church work. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Besides the widow and two sons he is survived by a brother, Leslie, residing near Mitchell, and two aunts, both residents of Lawrence county.
Mrs. Cooper had only recently returned home from here after attending the funeral of her mother, Mrs. Lillie Eliza Bennett, who died November 14.
