My great grandmother preferred being called "Bessie," which was her middle name.

The children from Jerusha's first marriage were: Eunice Lorraine (Kelley) Iker Wetmore, Rebecca M. (Kelley) Stockton, Samuel Millikin Kelley/Kelly, John Robert Kelley/Kelly, George Philip Kelley/Kelly, and Emma Kelley, who was m. more than once and divorced once. She was living in Leadville, CO at one time.
Emma was born 3 January 1870 or 1871 near Grant City, MO. When Jerusha m. Dolph Davis, little Emma was sent to be raised by her Aunt Amanda (Millikin) Wightman in Pottawattamie Co., IA. The 1880 Norwalk, Pottawattamie Co., IA census for David & Amanda Wightman lists Emma as Amanda's "adopted daughter." Emma may have been living in Leadville, CO in 1903, then possibly lastly in Pueblo, CO, according to my late father Vern O. Kelly.

Jerusha had a heart attack and died while staying with the family of her son Sam Kelly in Nebraska. My father was rather young, but remembered his grandmother dying while staying with them. Jerusha's second husband Dolph Davis was building a home for them to move closer to Sam and his family.
