Eldest son of James & Mary (LOCKARD) Millikin. Married Rebecca WILLIAMS in 1824 in Licking Co., Ohio. Moved to Rutland, LaSalle Co., IL. in 1830. Lived surrounded by Indians and other hardships. Fought in Blackhawk War. Built farm up to 400 acres with good crops and fine stock especially his horses. Friend of Stephen A. Douglas. 6 ft. tall, thin, dark eyes. 11 kids: Mary Jane, Margaret E., and Comfort America were born in Licking Co. Sarah Rebecca, Minerva R., Amanda L. (WRIGHTMAN), Jerusha Bessie, Samuel A., George W., Lucy A., and Franklin P. were born in LaSalle Co.,IL. Stephen A., Franklin and George are also interred in this cemetery.
