Paul Neathery, 73, of Coalgate, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Brumley-Mills Chapel in Hartshorne. A private burial will follow. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home of Hartshorne. Born Sept. 26, 1937, in Gowen, he was the son of William Lee and Laura Mae (Hunt) Neathery. He grew up in Gowen and had lived all his life in this area until he moved to Coalgate in 2006. He worked as a handy-man helping with home repairs and lawn care and other maintenance needs. He enjoyed reading, writing and outdoor activities such as gardening. Survivors include his wife, Vicky Silvers, of the home; five sons and two daughters; and numerous grandchildren. Also, four sisters, Pauline Padilla, Teeana Bishop, Willie Padilla and Laura Mae Trussell; two brothers, Ray Neathery and Clifton Neathery; special niece, Sharon Kay, and numerous other nieces, nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister.
