To me he was always Uncle Joe who was a partner with my dad (Charles) in an Esso gas station at Marmet, WV during the late 1940's and early 1950's. After selling the land to the State of WV for construction of the WV Turnpike, dad moved us to Cleveland, Ohio and Uncle Joe returned to Braddock, PA where he lived with, and supported his parents. Many visits to their home bring back wonderful memories of a time gone by and remembered always in our hearts.
He served honorably in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. Joseph never married.
