Mrs. Philomena Lagedrost Kelley, age 90, widow of Jacob Kelley, died of complications at 6 o'clock Monday night in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edward Bucheit, 533 Ross Ave. A native of Butler County, Mrs. Kelley was born December 6, 1855. For a number of years she and her husband lived on a farm and, returning in 1907, they came to Hamilton to make their home. Mr. Kelley died in 1913. Mrs. Kelley had been in failing health for several years but had been confined to her bed only one week. One of the founders of St. Peter Catholic Church, she had been a faithful and devoted member and was affiliated with the various women's societies of the congregation. She was possessed of a very charitable personality and had many friends. She leaves the daughter, Mrs. Bucheit, Hamilton; one son, Edward Kelley, R.R. 5, Hamilton; one sister, Mrs. Rose Weiss, R.R. 5, Hamilton; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Thursday morning in the W.F. Cahill and Sons Funeral Home, 229 Dayton St., followed by Solemn Requiem High Mass at 9:30 in St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home.
