A service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Victory Life Church, Boswell, for Harold Floyd Hughes, 69, Caddo, who died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at his residence. The Rev. Jan Lee will officiate.
He was born Dec. 2, 1934, in Cade, to Jessie James and Georgia Mae (Reubottom) Hughes. He attended school in Cade and served in the U.S. Army 1956-1958. He married Betty Ruth McMichael Jan. 31, 1963, in Madill and worked in construction. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and visiting with friends. He was of the Baptist faith and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Wayne, Woody, Clifford, Jewel, Rex and Bennie Hughes, and son Wayne Lynn Hughes Jan. 8, 1995.
He is survived by his wife of the home; sons Shane Hughes and wife Vicky, Caddo, Jewel Hughes, Dallas, Texas, and Troy Hughes, Antlers; brother J.V. Hughes and wife Lota, Durant; sister Laverne Johnson, Boswell; grandson Jeremy Hughes, Bokchito; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of dear friends.
Burial will be in Restland Cemetery, Boswell, with pallbearers Verlin Robinson, Benny Holt, Kelly Standridge, Roy Wilhite, Gary Miller and Luke Braudrick. Honorary pallbearers will be Dean Cloyd, Bobby Boroughs and Troy Robinson.
