Roy Victor Moorehouse, 81, Kingsport, died at 3p.m. Tuesday (January 4, 1994) at Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
He was a resident of Kingsport for most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Blanche Bishop Moorehouse, his parents, William S. and Carrie Hinderliter Moorehouse.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William E. (Judy) McClain, Kingsport and Mrs. Coleman (Wilma) Willis, Church Hill; five sons, George W. Moorehouse, Thomas L. Moorehouse and Paul V. Moorehouse all of Kingsport, Ronnie L. Moorehouse Virginia Beach, Virginia and Arthur W. Moorehouse, Bristol, Tennessee, several grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Margaret Ruth) Bray, Kingsport, and Mrs. Clifford (Elsie Louise) Sutphin, Charlottesville, Virginia; four brothers, George L. Moorehouse, Glen W. Moorehouse, and Robert E. Moorehouse all of Kingsport and Richard C. Moorehouse of Dunedin, Florida; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Richard Dice officiating.
