COTTAGE GROVE - Irene M. Wilson of Cottage Grove died March 21 of aged-related causes. She was 87.
Wilson was born Feb. 12, 1917, in Aumsville to Sam and Ila Brock Eastburn. She was married to Arlie Ferguson, who died in June 1961, and to James Wilson, who died in May 1986.
She worked as a dietary supervisor at Cottage Grove Hospital for 25 years. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ in Cottage Grove. She enjoyed music and her church. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Darlene Hogate and Arlita Powell, both of Cottage Grove; a brother, Darrell Eastburn of Forest Grove; four sisters, Lucille Bricker, June Hague, Arlyn Van Nortwick and Neva Shaw, all of Cottage Grove; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Private burial will be at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene. Andreason's Cremation & Burial Service in Eugene is in charge of arrangements.
