Maurice Kemp was born January 29, 1938 to Jeff and Odessa Finley-Kemp in Fillmore, Oklahoma, and he was the eldest of six children.
He attended school in Fillmore, Oklahoma. In 1956 he moved to Fredrick, Oklahoma and worked for O'Connor's Pest Control. In 1961 he relocated with the same pest control company to Oklahoma City and worked there until he retired.
Maurice united in marriage to Evelyn Ruth Heath and to the union, daughter, Wendy Kemp was born.
He loved fishing and loved being a "Paw Paw" to his grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Maurice is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, grandparents Simon and Lillie Finley, Wellington and Mary L Kemp and grandson D'Angelo Heath.
He leaves to cherish his memories; wife, Evelyn. Four daughters, Wendy Kemp, Marilyn Johnston, Susan Porter, Tina Godbad, and Vickie Health. Two sons, Maurice Kemp Jr., and Bobby Heath. Fifteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Three sisters, Erma Kemp Lambert (Julius), Detroit, MI, Amiegene Kemp, Ardmore, OK; Betty K Neal, Oklahoma City. One brother Donnie Kemp (Betty) Bradley, AR. A special uncle Leon Finley, Fredrick, OK. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
