• MADILL -- Services for Jeff "Cub" Kemp, 87, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Watts Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Floyd Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodberry-Forest Cemetery.

Born Feb. 7, 1915, in Fillmore to Wellington and Mary Lamey Kemp, he died Feb. 27, 2002, in Tishomingo. He married Rosa Lee Jones Nov. 18, 1967, in Atoka. She preceded him in death on June 7, 1988. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Odessa Finley Kemp; a son, four brothers and a sister.

He was reared in Fillmore and lived there until he was 52 years old. Cub worked as a farmer, and when he moved to Madill 35 years ago, he worked for the City of Madill. Cub loved to garden.

Survivors include two sons, Maurie Kemp, Oklahoma City, and Donnie Kemp and his wife, Betty, Denver; three daughters, Erma Lambert and her husband, Julius, Detroit, Amy Kemp, Ardmore, and Betty Neal, Oklahoma City; three sisters-in-law, Gevena Kemp, Tishomingo, Inez Kemp, Tishomingo, and Pearlene Kemp, Guthrie; 13 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

Bearers are Lonnie Lewis, Ronnie Lewis, Terry Lewis, Garry Lewis, Maurice Kemp and Chris Neal. Honorary bearers are Willie Gaines and Gregory Gaines.
