A lifelong resident of Laurens County. Mr. Register was the son of the late Robert and Clementine Evans Register, a retired carpenter and a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. He died Wednesday at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Faustine Register of Dublin; two sons, Thurlon Register of Macon and J. R. Register of Dublin; two daughters, Lucile Jernigan of Warner Robins and Blannie Crooms of Dublin; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Wayne Evans, Kenneth Culpepper, Pat Padgett, Andy Knight, Jacob Kelley and Steve Wyatt.
The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Register at Route 3, and will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home.
