Services for Walter Jackson Register, 86, of Route 3, Dublin, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Edward Kelley will officiate and burial will be in Rentz Cemetery.
A lifelong resident of Laurens County. Mr. Register was the son of the late Robert and Clementine Evans Register, a retired carpenter and a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. He died Wednesday at his home.
Survivors include his wife, Faustine Register of Dublin; two sons, Thurlon Register of Macon and J. R. Register of Dublin; two daughters, Lucile Jernigan of Warner Robins and Blannie Crooms of Dublin; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Wayne Evans, Kenneth Culpepper, Pat Padgett, Andy Knight, Jacob Kelley and Steve Wyatt.
