Mrs. Cash had been employed in Riverheads Elementary School in the cafeteria. She spent her life as a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.
Mrs. Cash was a member of Old Providence ARP Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Women of the Church.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Herman, Tom, Hugh and Cooper Lotts, and three sisters, Beulah Lotts Word, Eliza Lotts Brooks, and Hettie Lotts Wood.
Her family members include two sons and daughters-in-law, Erskine H. and Wilhelmina Cash, of Centre Hall, Pa., and Charlie L. "C.L." and Beth Cash of Kearneysville, W. Va.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda Cash and Chris Ragland of Alexanderia and Karleen Cash and John Arehart of Greenville; 11 grandchildren, Nancy Ragland Perkins, Mark Ragland, Erskine "Chad" Cash II, Lori Cash Voight, John Arehart III, Julie Arehart Longley, Jeremy Arehart, Charlie "Chuck" Cash II and Cooper, Shane and Staci Cash; eight great-grandchildren, Lucy Perkins, Alexis and Grant Cash, , Hunter, Elizabeth and James Voight, Ella Arehart and Oso Cash; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, at Old Providence ARP Church by the Rev. William Harris. A private burial service will be conducted in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Old Providence ARO Church, c/o Jackie Coffey, 6014 Lee Jackson Highway, Raphine, VA 24472 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 250 E. Market St., Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
