Irene Ashley Coffman, 82, of Brooksville, Florida, died 6/22/2002, at Hospice Care Center in that city. She was a former resident of Cloverdale and Franklin.
Born 6/29/1919, in Shelby County, her parents were Otto and Cecil (McCarty) Ashley. She married Aaron L. Coffman, Sr. on 9/5/1937, in Franklin. He died 9/23/1998.
Mrs. Coffman attended Shelby County schools.
She was employed by Crown Laundry and Dry Cleaning in Indianapolis in the payroll department. Prior to that she worked for United Telephone Co. in Franklin as a telephone operator.
She was a member of Calvary Tabernacle Church in Indianapolis and was an active participant in the Clothe-A-Child Program.
