Wife of Thomas Johnson. They had many children.
Children:
i Nathan Zachry Johnson born C. 1831, DeKalb County, Georgia. He married Harriet Penn, Dec 12 1854, Newton County, Georgia. He died before 1870. Harriet is listed as head of household on the 1870 Census.

He enlisted Feb 24 1862 - Private Company B., 35th GA., Vol. Inf. Reg. Army of Northern Virginia. B Company was known as "Bartows Avengers". He was wounded during the Battle of Seven Pines, May 31 1862. Roll Call Feb 28 1865 lists him as on furlough in Georgia.

ii Josiah Marshall Johnson born Aug 8 1832, DeKalb County, Georgia. He died Jun 25 1912, Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. He married Sofia Nancy Jones Feb 12 1867, in DeKalb County, Georgia. He is buried in the Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. He was a farmer and butcher. He kept a boarding house in Atlanta. He had five children.

He enlisted Sept 21 1861. He was elected 5th Sergeant, Company B., 35th GA. Vol. Inf. Reg. Army of Northern Virginia. On sick furlough in GA. Feb 28 1865 Roll Call. The Regiment surrendered at Appomattox Court House.

He filed a pension application in 1905 while living in Fulton Co., GA. He was on sick leave when his command surrendered. All affidavits say he was disabled, unable to work and didn't own any property.

iii Rebecca Johnson born C. 1834, DeKalb County, Georgia. She married Dec 17 1856 in DeKalb County, Georgia, Burrell J. Marbut. He was in Company B., 35th Georgia Vol. Inf. Reg. Private. Enlisted Feb 24 1862 and was present at Roll Call Feb 24, 1865.

iv George A. Johnson born C. 1836, DeKalb County, Georgia. According to Lee Y. Ponder, Jr., he married Jennie Bangston. Ref: Sarah Bradbury says his wife's name was Elizabeth Brooks.

He enlisted Feb 24 1862 Private Company B., 35th GA. Vol. Inf. Reg. He was wounded at the Battle of Seven Days near Richmond, VA., and captured at Petersburg, Va. Apr 02 1865. Released Point Look Out, Md. Jun 28 1865.

v John William Johnson born Oct. 1835, DeKalb County, Georgia. He married Missouri Gordon born Jan 1845, in 1860 DeKalb County, Georgia. They are listed on the 1870 Census, living in DeKalb County, GA. With them are five (?) children. John and his wife are on the 1900 Census, living in Conyers, Rockdale, GA. Census says Missouri had four children and only two were living in 1900. Missouri died, Fulton Co., GA Jun 21 1923.

He enlisted Feb 28 1862 Private Company B., 35th Georgia Vol. Inf. Reg. He was wounded at the Battle of 2nd Manassas. He was captured Sept 30 1862 and later exchanged. He is listed on the last Roll Call Feb 28 1865 as being on sick furlough in Georgia

vi Thomas Johnson born C. 1840, DeKalb County, Georgia. He married Margaret White. I believe he was in the CSA, but there are too many Thomas Johnsons to pinpoint his regiment.
There is a Thomas T. Johnson buried in the Rock Chapel Cemetery. (Sept 03 1843 – Nov 09 1912. He is listed on the 1870 Georgia Census, living in the Diamond District with wife Margaret, age 24 and two daughters, Mary and Elizabeth ages, 2 and 6..

ix Marietta Johnson born C. 1843, DeKalb County and died 1888, DeKalb County, Georgia. She married John Mann (1836 - 1914) Aug 16 1867 in DeKalb County, GA. Both are buried in Rock Chapel Cemetery. This may be Mary and not Marietta. A son, Tommie Mann is buried in Rock Chapel (1868 - 1891) He would have been named for Thomas Johnson. John Mann was a member of Company B, 35th Georgia Vol. Inf. Regiment along with his brother in laws, the three Johnsons. He enlisted as a private, Feb 16 1862 and surrendered at Appomattox, VA. Apr 09 1865.

x Martha Jane Johnson born C. 1848/9, DeKalb, Georgia. She died Dec 20 1904, DeKalb County, Georgia.

xi Demarius Johnson born C. 1848/9, DeKalb County, Georgia. She married Edmond J. Bailey Dec 21 1879 in DeKalb County, GA.
