Mrs. Clara Christine Leasa , 78, a resident of Ritz Lutheran Villa, Mitchell died Saturday at her residence.
Born in Elma Township, January 24, 1907, she was a daughter of the late August Bauer and the former Katherine Mogk. On December 2, 1931 she married Henry A. Leasa who died August 8, 1981. She had resided in Rostock for a number of years and had been a resident of Ritz Lutheran Villa since 1980 where she was a correspondent for the Mitchell Advocate.
She was a member of Second St. John's Lutheran Church, Wartburg, the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and the Ladies Aid of the church. She had also taught Sunday School for several years and was member on the Wartburg Women's Institute.
She was predeceased by one sister, Hulda Mogk, and three brothers, Julius, Emil and Herman.
