Herman W. Bauer, 73, of 125 Main St., Glencoe, died Monday at his home.
He was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, Glencoe, and a member of the Brotherhood of Anglican Church Men, a member and past president of the Glencoe Rotary Club and a chairman of the Easter Seal campaign for many years; chairman of the Four Counties Hospital Board; past pastor of Lorne Lodge No. 282; past D.D.C.M. of Chatham District; member of Mocha Temple; past T.P.C.M. of London Lodge of Perfection and Honourary 33rd degree member of the Scottish Right.
Surviving are his wife, the former Irene Gaskell; one daughter; two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Clara) Leasa of Rostock and Mrs. Hulda Mogk of Brunner; five brothers, Reinhardt of Brussels, Martin of Guelph, Emil of Stratford, Rudolph and Albert both of R.R. 5 Mitchell; one aunt, Mrs. Clara Young of Stratford; also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Emma, in 1951, and one son, Willis, in 1949.
