SWANNANOA - Dennis D. Wheeler, 77 of Swannanoa passed away Saturday, October 2, 2010.

Mr. Wheeler was born April 28, 1933 in Buncombe County where he lived most of his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Hattie Hollifield Wheeler.

Dennis is survived by his daughter, Sherry Azelton (Danny) of Mount Airy; sons, Dennis Wheeler (Michelle) and Audie Wheeler all of Flint, MI and Rex Wheeler (Sarah) of Newlothrop, MI; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Monday, Oct. 4 from 6 to 8 at Harwood Home for Funerals.

Arrangements are in the care of Harwood Home for Funerals. 828669-2977.
