Arnold C. Wheeler, 90, of Black Mountain, passed away Sunday December 15, 2013.

Mr. Wheeler was born August 2, 1923 to the late Benjamin and Hettie Hollifield Wheeler.

Arnold has been a resident of Black Mountain for the past 67 years. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII. Arnold attended Victory Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Eula Robinson Wheeler; daughters, Carol Taylor (Larry) of Lincolnton, Ronda Crosby (Tony) of Nevels, GA, and Donna Zipeto (Lorenzo) of Rutherfordton; son, Joe Wheeler (DeAnn) of Black Mountain; sister, Dorothy Melton of Black Mountain; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 6:00 pm in the Chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
