David Lenox married Louisa Swan 4 May 1826 in Livingston Co., Kentucky. They had 14 children. His father was Samuel Lenox.

Oregon Pioneer and Captain of the first wagon train to cross the Rocky Mountains in 1843. He donated the land for the West Union Baptist Church, the first Baptist Church West of the Rockies in 1844. Justice of the Peace for Washington Co. 1847 and 1848.

He was originally buried in the Blue Mountain Cemetery in Weston, Umatilla Co., Oregon David Thomas Lenox Sr., but is buried at the West Union Baptist Church, West Union, Oregon.
