Mrs. Evans was a consistent member of Salem United Brethren Church and was held in high esteem by those who knew her. Besides her hushand, she leaves the following children: Howard Eck, Mrs. Charles Klopp, Mrs. Abram Corl, William, Jr., city plumbing inspector; Mrs. Raymond Uhrich, S. LeRoy, and Spencer, all of Lebanon. Mrs. David Spickler and Mrs. John Simmons, of Lititz, are sisters. There are 16 grand children and 9 great grand children.

6 Jun 1927: Rev. Pierce E. Swope pastor of the St. Stephen's Reformed Church, Third and Walnut street, officiated at services Friday afternoon at two o'clock for the late Mrs. William Evans, of 345 South Tenth street. Friends of the family of the deceased acted as pallbearers. Many floral tributes from relatives and friends were placed upon the grave at Ebenezer Cemetery. Funeral Directors Ray Arnold & Son were in charge of the Interment.
