Redin Burt, Jr. was the seventh child and the third son of Redin & Altie Burt, born in Hill Co., TX and attended Hillsboro High School. Redin was a veteran of World War II, joining the U.S. Navy SeaBees and obtaining the rank of Seaman second class (SF2). After the war he married Joyce London and settled in Victoria, TX. being a professional welder self employed until his retirement in 1995. He & Joyce decided to retire and live in the piney woods of East Texas in Chandler near Lake Palestine. They had no children.
