Mammaw Burt in her later years lived on the south side of Hillsboro in Hill Co., TX in one of son-in-law Glenn Morgan's rent houses. Glenn who was the county clerk, wouldn't let her pay rent because of the great lady she was. She baked, canned, was a good cook, a homemaker and a grandma who wore her apron everyday. She loved the meals together with family on holidays and at the Burt reunion in Ft. Worth each year. She was raised simply on the farm with good old country values and raised her children with the same, all eight of them.
Altie & Redin were married at ages sixteen & seventeen on 4 January 1901 and were happily married for sixty-five years. They were married in Hill Co. and raised their children in Hill County.
