Daughter of Henry DeWitt d.1885 & Elizabeth Jane (Griggs/"Greggs") DeWitt d.1886. Griggs and Dimock Mayflower Descendants in the family of Dr. Stephen Griggs.
According to Orrilla's obituary, the DeWitt family came to Missouri in 1859, but reported earlier.
Orrilla, wife of W.A. Thomas. Married 1873, no children. Lived from 1876-1897 on 960 acre Thomas Ranch, Dale Township east of Fairfax, Atchison County, Missouri.
Died from infection caused from being bitten by a horse, according to the Thomas family.
Grave is in the SW corner of the Old Palmyra Cemetery Section 3rd row east of the roadway.
