Mrs. Gertrude (Tillie) Shipley, 79, died in the Lafayette Home hospital Sunday afternoon. A resident of Lafayette, she had been hospitalized for three weeks.
The deceased woman was a sister of George Schomers of Mulberry. Other survivors include a son and two sisters. She was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic church. Last rites were held Wednesday morning.
