Mrs. Alpha M. Shaw, 79, of
Young America, died at 7:15
a.m. Wednesday at Memorial
Hospital.
Friends may call after noon
today at Fisher Funeral Home.
Final rites will be there at 2
p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Raymond
Skelton will officiate and
burial will be in Zion Cemetery.
Born in Delphi on Feb. 9,
1886, she was the daughter of
Aaron and Minerva Holloway
Brewer.
Her marriage was to George
Shaw, who died Nov. 26, 1957.
Survivors are two sons, Jesse
of 528 Bates St. and Amos of
Denver, Colo.; six daughters,
Mrs. Mary Darland of Cucamonga,
Calif.; Mrs. Vera Kenning
of Key West, Fla.; Mrs.
Mable Minneman of 514 Wheatland
Ave.; Mrs. Zella Crocker
of Topanga, Calif.; Mrs. Mar-
garet Acampora of Las Vegas
Nev., and Mrs. Lucille Gish of
Young America; 24 grandchil-
dren and 37 great-grandchildren
Also surviving are five bro-
thers, Hubert and Dale Brewer
of Monticello, Howard of Fort
Lauderdale, Fla., Neville of Bat
tie Ground, and Orville of Yeo-
man, and three sisters, Mrs
Bertha Ellis of Idaville, Mrs.
Ruth Allen of Lafayette and
Mrs. Nola Newman of Lafayette.
