Obituary
Peter Blaker was born in Austria on June 22, 1860. At the age of five years he came to this country with his parents. They settled near Humboldt, Neb. where he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage to Frances Sebek, at Pawnee City, Neb., on April 9, 1881. In the year 1900 he, with his family, moved to Barneston, where they have resided until his death. He departed this life at his home west of town May 28, 1919, at the age of fifty-eight years, eleven months and four days. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and five children all living at Barneston, Mrs. Mary Fisher, Mrs. Josephine Svoboda, James, Helen and Bowman Blaker, also one sister, four brothers, nine grandchildren and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held at the Z. C. B. J. hall north of town, of which lodge he was a member, conducted by Mr. Albert Karas of Elk Creek, Neb., and Rev. L. S. Burnham of Liberty and burial was in Barneston cemetery.
