Thurman John "TJ" Allard, 78, and a resident of the State of New Mexico since the early 1920's passed away Monday, June 24, 1985, at his home in Estancia, New Mexico. He was born on October 17, 1906, in Scurry, Texas, the son of LaVanda Victoria (Jones) and John Franklin Allard.

Thurman was a veteran of World War II, having served as a S1 in the US Navy.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Estancia and Knights of Pythius.

"TJ" was preceded in death by his first wife of three years, Vivian Lee (Johnson) Allard in 1931, and his second wife of 51 years, Martha M (Holliday) Allard in May 1983; and one son, George W. Allard in July 1983.

"TJ" is survived by two daughters, Frances Louise Patterson of Cedar City, UT, and Sadie Vivian of Whitter, CA; two sons, Orin Thomas "Tommy" Allard of Warren, MI, and Bob Allard of Chama, NM; three sisters, Alice Doughty, Louise Brown, Helen Kilgore; and one brother, John F. Allard, all of Arizona; 20 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
