He was a Tattnall County native and longtime resident of Glennville. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Harmony United Methodist Church.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Maudie P. Bacon of Glennville; two daughters, Mary B. Bargeron and Lavern B. Sapp, both of Glennville; two sisters, Iona Powell and Emaline Waters, both of Glennville; a brother, James Bacon of Glennville; and five grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
