Funeral Friday for Adolph Haack. Adolph Henry Haack, 92, of 215 Plymouth St. NW, Le Mars, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1986 at Floyd Valley Hospital after a three-week illness.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Remsen.
Rev. Myron Herzberg officiated. Burial was in the Remsen City Cemetery under direction of the Moeller Funeral Home. Mr. Haack was born Dec. 10, 1894 in Sioux City, the son of Claus Jacob and Ella (Kirchner) Haack. He farmed in Plymouth county until moving into Remsen in 1936. He did custom work for farmers in the area for many years. He moved to Le Mars in about 1946 where he owned and operated Adolph's Lounge for a number of years. He was also the owner and manager of the Town and Country Restaurant in Le Mars for many years.
Mr. Haack was a lifetime member of Wasmer Post, American Legion in Le Mars. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert R. (JoAnn) Meyer of Remsen and Judith Wagstaff of Beverly Hills, Calif.; a brother, Elmer of Le Mars; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mrs. William Raveling; and three brothers, Clarence, Edward and George.
