Funeral Monday for Irma Haack
Mrs. Clarence (Irma) Haack, 85, of Remsen, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1988 at Happy Siesta Nursing Home here after a long illness.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25 at St. Paul Lutheran Church here. Rev. Myron Herzberg officiated. Burial was in the Remsen City Cemetery under direction of the Moeller Funeral Home.
Mrs. Haack, the former Irma Hanno, was born June 28, 1902 in Plymouth county, the daughter of Gustave and Anna (Lang) Hanno. She attended rural schools in the Remsen area.
Her marriage to Clarence J. Haack took place July 6, 1922 at LeMars. They farmed north of Remsen for 38 years, retiring in 1960. They moved into town in 1962.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Clifford (LaVonne) Tonsfeldt of Remsen; two sons, Larry and Milton, both of Remsen; two sisters, Mrs. Emanuel (Lois) Schmidt of Worthington, Minn. and Miss Mavis Hanno of Vermillion, S.D.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968 and by her parents.
Pallbearters were Steven Tonsfeldt., James Mayer, Dwayne Douvia, Kirk Haack, Dean Haack, Duane Haack, Robert Mayer and Roger Haack.
