Carl E. Koseck, 89, of Livingston died early Tuesday morning, December 2, 2003 at Livingston Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Koseck was born on June 2, 1914 in Livingston the son of Fred E. Koseck Sr. and Fannie (Ruschek) Koseck. He attended rural schools near the family ranch on the Boulder River east of Livingston before entering full-time into the family ranching operation. On July 23, 1941, Mr. Koseck married Ella A. Trovotten at Boulder Hot Springs. They continued the ranching operation until it was sold in 1978. Mr. Koseck then held various jobs in the Livingston area, including working for the Northern Pacific and Burlington Northern railroads.
Mr. Koseck was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed horse-shoeing as an avocation. His favorite pastime was horseback riding and caring for his horses.
Survivors include a Brother Fred V. Koseck Jr. of Billings, a sister, Margaret Larson of Appleton, Wisconsin and his close friends and caretaker Diane Coffman of Livingston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred E. Koseck Sr. and Fannie (Ruschek) Koseck and his beloved wife Ella A. (Trovotten) Koseck.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 5 at 1:30 p.m. at Franzen Davis Funeral Home in Livingston with the Rev. Eric Thorson of Redeemer Lutheran Church officiating. Graveside committal and burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Livingston.
