Wilfred Lane Hagan, 93, of Savannah, died Saturday, February 14, 2004 at Memorial Medical Health University. He was born in Arcola, July 20, 1910 to William Lane Hagan and Agnes Proctor Hagan. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Merchant Marines, and worked as a radiology technologist for the Chatham County Health Department from May 1, 1947 until he retired November 30, 1984. He attended the Savannah Progressive Primitive Baptist Church where he had formerly served as song leader and a member of the sanctuary choir. After retiring in 1984, he worked as a volunteer at the American Red Cross and Candler General Hospital until 1999.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Mitchell Hagan of Savannah; a daughter and son-in-law, Mike and Kathy Rushing of Statesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home-Hodgson Memorial Chapel with Elder Wayne Gibbs and Elder Howard Cox officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church in Bulloch County with Elder Jessie Coleman officiating.
