James Larry Boswell, age 71, of Powder Springs died March 25, 2006 after a long illness.

He was born in Alabama. He began his 30 year teacher career in Pine Hill, AL then moved to Cobb County where he taught 26 years at McEachern High School. While at McEachern he taught science and coached football and was head baseball coach for many years. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Powder Springs.

Survived by his wife, Virginia Boswell; daughters, Melanie (Randy) Kulamer and Selena (Don) Anderson; grandchildren; Carrie, Tyler, Evan, Ashlee and Aubree; mother Carrie Boswell; brother, Charlie Boswell; sisters, Bette Meads, Evie Ayer, Georgia Boswell, Frankie Hepburn and Jeannie Boswell; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his father, Leithal Ray Boswell and brother Jerry Boswell.

Funeral Services were held March 27, 2006 at the First Baptist Church of Powder Springs with Rev. Mike Woods and Rev. John Darnell officiating. Interment in Powder Springs Memorial Gardens.

The Bill Pledger Sunday School Class were honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the McEachern Endowment Fund, Larry Boswell Science Scholarship.
