FAIRFAX - Evie Boswell Ayer, 70, wife of G. Kenneth Ayer, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013.
Mrs. Ayer was a daughter of the late Leithal Raye and Carrie Lee Stewart Boswell. She was a graduate of Augusta College and retired from Allendale County Hospital after 42 years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian Henderson, Rev. Jule Young and Rev. Tommy Terry officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Gilmore Kenneth Ayer; one son, Troy Ayer; one grandson, Jackson Ayer; one brother, Charlie Boswell (Carolyn); four sisters, Bette Meads, Georgia Demmond (Jeff), Frankie Boswell and Jeannie Boswell. She was predeceased by two brothers, Larry and Jerry Boswell.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013, at Keith Smith Funeral Service, 128 Water Street, Allendale, SC, 803-584-2492.
