BRIDGEWATER - Virginia L. Hutt, 59, died Sept. 14, 2010, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.

She was born May 1, 1951, in Bridgewater, the daughter of Stanley L. and Amy (Merriam) Hutt, and graduated from Woodstock Union High School in 1969.

For many years, she worked as a cook at Bridgewater Village Diner and volunteered for Bridgewater Fast Squad.

Survivors include a son, Shon Powell of Bridgewater; a daughter, Stacey Lynds of Graniteville, a sister, Beverly Pratt of Bridgewater; two brothers, Nelson Hutt of Bragdon, Fla., and Paul Hutt of Bridgewater; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Betty Moore; and a brother, Donald Hutt.

The graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Bridgewater. There will be no calling hours.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Cabot Funeral Home in Woodstock.
