OBITUARY
CHARLES H. SWISE
ABINGDON - Charles H. Swise, 84, Abingdon, died at 4:10 p.m. Friday in St. Mary's Hospital Galesburg. Mr. Swise was a 40 year resident of Galesburg.
He lived at the Abingdon Nursing home for the past two years. A retired farmer, he was a member of the United Brethren Church, Galesburg.
Mr. Swise was born Dec. 20, 1883 in Bernadotte, a son of Charles and Della (White) Swise. He was married to Leither Bollinger on May 31, 1904 in Bernadotte. She died earlier.
Survivors include two sons, Leonard Swise, Canton, Donald Swise, Abingdon; two daughters, Mrs. Earl Lambert, Knoxville, Mrs. Arthur Matteson, Ellisville; one brother, John Swise, Cuba; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. Four sisters and one brother died earlier.
Funeral services were held today at 2 p.m. at the Larson Funeral Home, Abingdon, the Rev. Rodney Ruberg and the Rev. Sylvester Sanford officiating. Burial was in Mounds cemetery, Bushnell.
