DIES YESTERDAY AT HOME NORTHEAST OF LEWISTOWN
Lewistown, Ill., April 17 - (Special) - Mrs. Della Swise, ill for a short time from double pneumonia, died yesterday noon at her home in Bernadotte township, seven miles northeast of Lewistown.
Born April 6, 1860, in Virginia, a daughter of John and Eliza (Hulvey) White, she was married to Charles Swise, who preceded her in death. She had resided in Bernadotte township for the past 27 years.
Six children are living. They are Mrs. Dollie Chenoweth, Table Grove; John, Cuba; Mrs. Jane Lindsey, Canton; Charles, Galesburg; Mrs. Mazie Smith, Adair; and Mrs. Rosa Perkins, Lewistown. There are 25 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Edward White, Lewistown is a brother and Mrs. Elizabeth Cannon, New Philadelphia and Mrs. Zack Jackson, are sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Providence church, west of Lewistown; with the Rev. Robinson Ashby in charge. Burial will be in Providence cemetery.
