St. Clair - Adele Smith, 77, of St. Clair, died Tuesday, March 23, 1999 in Fort Gratiot Twp.
She was born Dec. 16, 1921 in Detroit and lived most of her life in the Port Huron area. She married Martin E. Smith of Feb. 7, 1948 in Smiths Creek.
Mrs. Smith was a beautician for many years in St. Clair. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair.
She is survived by her husband, Martin; two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Robert (Karen) Kreger of Jeddo and Susan M. Brems of Grand Rapids; five grandchildren, Kari Kreger, Mr. and Mrs. Darrin (Annette) Dreger and Matthew, Jeffrey and Katherine Brems; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Stan, Ray, Ben and Joe Oles; two sisters, Mary Haggarty and Bernice Schmitz; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Jerry Oles.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 1999 in First United Methodist Church, Por tHuron. The Rev. Ralph H.Pieper II will officiate. burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
