Alonzo T. Parmelee was born 24 OCT 1835 in New York, the son of Erastus K. Parmelee and his wife Wealthy. He married Ophelia Russell, daughter of Riverus (Verus) Russell, Jr. and Amanda Malvina Maxfield on September 30, 1855. He and either his father or brother (both Erastus) were very likely owners of the A&E Parmelee S.S. Mill, next to Alonzo's home. (See his father for image of location.) He died 4 MAR 1881 in Ransom, Hillsdale at the age of 46 years, four months and 23 days of a "brain hemorrhage.". He is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Osseo, MI.
He and his wife Ophelia were witnesses to the marriage of Erastus K. Jr, his brother.
